Symptoms

When printing a score using certain makes of Brother printers, the output appears upside down.

Cause

Bad printer drivers.

Resolution

See the user comments that appear later on this page. If the driver solution does not work, try converting your scores to .pdf and printing them via Adobe Reader. For instructions on how to convert your scores to .pdf, see the knowledge base article Convert Power Tab Scores To The Adobe Portable Document Format (.pdf).

  • "I have resolved the problem, at least for now. I got to thinking after your last email that all my problems started when I got the new computer with XP loaded. The printer is the same one I've been using but I downloaded the XP driver for it and that's when the problems started. So I just loaded the driver for W2K and everything is working normally again. I do not know what brother has added to their XP version of the driver for this printer but it has been the source of my problems. Hopefully I will not have compatibility problems with this older driver."

  • "Put printer driver disk in the cd rom drive and enter setup. Choose a custom install and add to selection the PS2 printer driver. Use this one , it is not buggy."
