BUG: Irregular Groupings Fail When Toggled Between High and Low Melodies

Article ID:000050
Category:Score Creation, Editing and Notation
Applies to:Power Tab Editor (all versions)
Created:07-Dec-2002
Last updated:11-Feb-2005
Bug status:Open
Bug severity:Low
Revision number:6
Author(s):Brad Larsen

Symptoms

When you toggle a note that is part of an irregular grouping to the opposite melody (low to high or high to low) in the staff, the irregular grouping marker vanishes.

Cause

Coding bug.

Resolution

The workaround is to add all of your high melody notes to the measure first, and then apply the appropriate irregular groupings. Once complete, switch to the low melody, and insert all the low melody notes for the measure, and then apply the appropriate irregular groupings. (you can switch the order between high and low if you want; complete all low notes first, then switch to high)

If you've created a measure by toggling the irregular grouped notes between melodies, you'll have to delete the notes that you toggled and readd them directly to the appropriate melody.
