Symptoms

After downloading or installing Power Tab Editor, you receive the following error message:

<filename> is not a valid Win32 application

Cause

The most common reasons for this error are:

  1. Your download is corrupt (very common)
  2. You have a virus on your system (rare)

Resolution

Scan your system to ensure it is clean of viruses, then download the program again, and re-install it. If you continue to have problems, try some of the solutions listed in the Experts Exchange article xxx.exe is not a valid Win32 application.
