Symptoms

After opening a Power Tab file that should contain music, the file appears to be empty. When you try to play the file, you can hear the music, but you can't see the score.

Cause

Power Tab files are made up of two primary scores: the guitar score, and the bass score. Only one of the scores can be viewed at a time. By default, when you open a file, the guitar score is the active score. In the case where you open a file that contains music content in the bass score, but nothing in the guitar score, the file will appear to be empty, even though it's not.

Resolution

Activate the bass score so you can view its contents. To activate the bass score, proceed as follows:

  1. On the View menu, click Bass Score.
- or -
  1. On the main toolbar, click the Bass Score button. Bass Score Toolbar Button
