What is the Knowledge Base?
The Knowledge Base is a searchable collection of support related articles, including:
- Frequently Asked Questions (and their corresponding answers)
- How-To Articles
- Bug Reports (and their workarounds, if any)

Searching the Knowledge Base
To search the Knowledge Base, type one or more search terms in the search box, and then click Search. A list of results matching your search criteria will be displayed, ordered by relevancy.
Search Notes
- Only results matching all of your search terms will be returned.
- A maximum of 100 search results will be returned.
- Searches are case insensitive. This means that searching for Power Tab will yield the same results as searching for power tab.
- By default, common words such as the and is are automatically excluded from your searches.
- To force a common word to be included in your search, preface the word with a plus sign (+).
- To exclude a word from your search, preface the word with a minus sign (-).
- Word variations will be returned in your search results. This means that a search for install will match against install, installed, installing, installation, etc.
- A maximum of 7 search terms may be included in a given search. If you enter more than 7 search terms, they will be ignored.
- The Knowledge Base search engine is incapable of searching for phrases.
Search Examples
Power Tab Editor - Matches all articles that contain the words power, tab and editor.
tab -power - Matches all articles that contain the word tab but not power.
+the end - Matches all articles that contain the words the and end. (without the plus sign, the would be ignored since it's a common word)
one two three four five six seven eight - Matches all articles that contain the words one, two, three, four, five, six and seven. (eight is ignored due to the 7 search term limit)
